The Yeezy Foam Runner is the comfiest thing in the Yeezy lineup and the most-returned because of one thing: sizing. It only comes in whole sizes, the foam is rigid at first, and the fit doesn't match a normal sneaker. Here's the no-guesswork version.
Do Foam Runners run big or small?
They run big, especially in whole-size-up territory. The molded foam has a roomy toe box and a wide footbed.
The simple rule
- If you're a half size (e.g. US 9.5): size down to the whole size (US 9).
- If you're a whole size and like a snug fit: stay true to size.
- If you're a whole size and like room or wear socks: you can also go true to size — the Onyx Foam Runner fits most people best at TTS.
Width matters more than length
Foam Runners are wide. If you have narrow feet, they'll feel loose even at the right length — that's normal, the strap-free design just sits differently. Wide-footed people love them for exactly this reason.
Socks or no socks?
The foam can feel firm against bare skin on day one and softens with wear. A thin sock kills the break-in discomfort without changing your size. Most people end up wearing them barefoot once broken in.
TL;DR: half size → size down. Whole size → true to size. When unsure, size down — a slightly snug Foam Runner beats a clown-shoe one.
